It's time to jazz up our children's bedtime stories with some easy storytelling props – DIY Paper Fish. Props are important as it helps with better understanding of the story by associating the texts with props. This takes almost no time and effort to do and best of all, your kids' wild imagination may come to life!
Here's what you need:
- Colour papers
Step 1: Cut out a square on an A4 size colour paper of your choice.
Step 2: Then, fold the sides of the paper so that they meet in the middle like so.
Step 3: Turn the paper around and start decorating your fish using cut out paper strips or simply draw and colour scales or anything you'd like on your fish.
Step 4: Cut out slits so that the fish can be bent.
Step 5: Glue the entire side of the paper and fold it into a triangle so that it forms into the shape of a fish.
Step 6: Cut out the fins, tail and mouth and stick it in place.
